Symposium held on the 40th anniversary of the Reykjavik Association of Sculptors in collaboration with Reykjavik Art Museum. Participants include art historian Æsa Sigurjónsdóttir, and artists Sara Riel and Ólafur S. Gíslason.

Performance held in relation to Santiago Sierra’s exhibition.

Gallery talk with the participation of violin maker Hans Jóhannsson.


March

Saturday 3 March 10 p.m.
Hafnarhús – Tectonics
A collaborative project by Reykjavik Art Museum and the Iceland Symphony
Orchestra on the final evening of the modern music festival taking place 1 – 3 March. Chief conductor Ilan Volkov directs this annual festival in Reykjavik, which will be dedicated to new music, both domestic and foreign, in collaboration with musicians from different backgrounds.

Symposium – NO! Resistance, Transgression
Symposium held in relation to Santiago Sierra’s exhibition at Hafnarhús.
Moderated by philosopher Egill Arnarson.

Gallery talk and workshop for the family.

Hafnarhús – Fringe Berry Blueberry-jam
The NorthArc percussion trio's (NO/USA) Scandinavian tour starts in the new music series Fringe Berry at Reykjavík Art Museum. This concert features three world premieres by composers Anna S. Þorvaldsdóttir, Antonia Barnett-McIntosh and Carolyn Chen. Also Dressur by Mauricio Kagel and Stele by Gérard Grisey.

Concert focusing on compositions that involve toys and games. Performed by Tinna
Þorsteinsdóttir on piano, Una Sveinbjarnardóttir on violin and Frank Aarnink on percussion. Collaborative project.
