Erró Collage Competition

On Saturday the 13th of November at 3 pm the winners of the Erró collage competition will be announced at Reykjavik Art Museum – Hafnarhus. At the same time an exhibition of the collage competition collection will be opened.


On Sunday the 14th of November at 3 pm the museum will offer a guided tour on the exhibition of Erró – Collage and the collection from the collage competition.


Over 220 creative participations were made for the competition. The contestants were divided into two categories: 7th and 8th grade primary school students around the country and the general population, 14 years of age and older. Winner of each category will receive a signed graphic work by Erró, personally donated by the artist.


The purpose of the collage competition is to increase understanding and knowledge of collages, as well as interest in collages as an art form, among the general public and students alike. The competition revolves around making collages from found materials, i.e. newspapers, magazines, books and other published and two-dimensional material.
