ARCHITECTURE AT EYE-LEVEL
On the occasion of the publishing of the book Architecture at Eye-level Reykjavik Art Museum invites to a publishing-event at Hafnarhús. Architecture at Eye-level is a pioneerwork in education material for children and young people with emphasize on creative learning and Icelandic context, sensing and expression. The book is written by Guja Dögg Hauksdóttir, head of the architecture department at the museum, and published in cooperation with The Association of Icelandic Architects and The National Centre for Educational Materials. In connection with the publication there will be an ongoing open architecture workshop for kids and young people of all ages both on Saturday and Sunday at Hafnarhús.
SUNDAY, 29 MARCH AT 3 PM
LECTURE ON THE BOOK
In connection to the release of the book Architecture at Eye-level there will be a lecture on young people and architecture at the Harbourhouse. Guja Dögg Hauksdóttir, head of the architecture department at the museum and author of the book will give an introduction of the book and show recent architecture workshop for children and young people, which have been developed from material and tasks in the book. All day there is also an ongoing open architecture workshop for kids and young people of all ages in the house.
