Erró Collage Competition - Prize winners receive signed works by the artist

At the instigation of Erró, the Reykjavík Art Museum announced a collage competition in conjunction with the exhibition Erró - Collages (1950-2010) which opened, Saturday 18 September in Hafnarhús.

The purpose of the collage competition is to increase understanding and knowledge of collages, as well interest in collages as an art form, among the general public and students alike. The competition revolves around making collages from found materials, i.e. newspapers, magazines, books and other published and two-dimensional material.

The contestants will be divided into two categories: 7th and 8th grade primary school students around the country and the general population, 14 years of age and older. Winner of each category receive a signed graphic work by Erró, personally donated by the artist.
