Clay-workshop. Ásmundarsafn, Saturday 29 January 2 p.m.

Gallery talk and clay-workshop led by artist Haraldur Jónsson. The workshop is designed for the whole family in relation to Ásmundarsafn’s two current exhibitions. Thoughts in forms is a recreation of Ásmundur’s studio that gives an idea of his working environment in Sigtún and Ráðhildur Ingadóttir’s installation Sleep Light which comprises the dome of the Ásmundarsafn art museum, the sound of the space, a computer, a hand mirror, light projection and a shadow.

Haraldur Jónsson has taken alternative approach in using ceramics in his artistic practice, including his work Blindners (2008), small ceramic forms made in total darkness, that were recently on show at the exhibition New Acquisitions 2006-2010, Kjarvalstaðir.

The workshop is designed for families, free of charge and open to all.
