On Existentialism: The Lyric Vision, Kjarvalsstaðir, Sunday 23 September 3 p.m.

Sunday 23 September at 3 p.m. philosopher, Björn Þorsteinsson gives a talk on Existentialism in relation to the exhibition The Lyric Vision currently on show at Reykjavik Art Museum – Kjarvalsstaðir.

Existentialism is a philosophical movement which emphasizes on individual existence, freedom, and choice. But such ideas were inspiration to abstract expressionist painters both in Europe and USA. The Lyric Vision is the first retrospective exhibition of abstract expressionism during 1957-1970.
