LornaLab: Raspberry Pi, Hafnarhús, Saturday 23 February 1-3 p.m.
LornaLAB in collaboration with Reykjavik Art Museum will introduce the Raspberry Pi – a credit-card sized computer that plugs into your TV and a keyboard next Saturday. It’s a capable little PC which can be used for many of the things that your desktop PC does, like spreadsheets, word-processing and games. Only 1000 people owns the Raspberry Pi here in Iceland.
All RPi owners are encouraged to attend and take part in discussions. The event is open to everyone and free of charge.
LornaLAB is a newly founded (late summer 2010) forum for the creative use of technology. Its current function is information, resource and inspiration sharing which has taken the form of lectures, fieldtrips and workshops in its short life to date. Among its members are industrial designers, art theorists, computer scientists, AI researchers, music theorists and new media artists to name a few.
