LornaLAB: Freedom vs. Security, Hafnarhús - Saturday 6 April 1-3 p.m.
Smári McCarthy software developer writer, hacker and freedom fighter will be a special guest at next LornaLAB.
Who are those who know what people do at their computers? And why do they know that? Future of the internet is mostly unknown but the general public, government, activists and artists can (still) make its mark on its development. But how can we influence and steer its evolution? These questions and more will be discussed in an open dialogue with participants.
LornaLAB is a newly founded (late summer 2010) forum for the creative use of technology. Its current function is information, resource and inspiration sharing which has taken the form of lectures, fieldtrips and workshops in its short life to date. Among its members are industrial designers, art theorists, computer scientists, AI researchers, music theorists and new media artists to name a few.
