Hildur Yeoman fashion show/exhibition, Yulia.
Hildur Yeoman is an established Icelandic designer that in recent years has become well known for her successful accessory designs and unique illustrations.
With her show, Yulia, Hildur will launch a new clothing line and show off her latest jewelry designs.
The Yulia collection is inspired by the history of the Yeoman family which was based on the east coast of the United States. Hildur's grandmother, Yulia Yeoman, a New Jersey housewife who abandoned her family to ravel the United States with a motorcycle outlaws. During this era, motorcycle gangs were forming all over the United States that consisted of people that for some reason or another did not coexist well in society and made it their life to drive around the country on motorbikes.
The individual's choice to reject a bourgeois lifestyle is the fundamental theme of the collection.
Participating in the show are many talented artists; Sigga Soffía choreographer and dancer alongside other dancers from the Icelandic Dance Company, Daníel Björnsson visual artist, Valdimar Jóhannsson musician and Ísak Freyr Helgason makeup artist to name a few.
The Collection will be at display at Reykjavik Art Museum - Hafnarhús over the weekend.
